About Me
Hi! My name is Anoushka, and I am a qualified humanistic and integrative counsellor, registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I am bound by their ethical framework.
I work in a person centred way which means I focus on building the relationship between myself and the client and it is about the client exploring what they wish to bring to each session. I hope to move you to a greater place of self awareness, growth and making positive changes for your future.
I am here to listen and to allow you to share whatever you feel able to with me. I believe the working relationship between the client and therapist is important. Each of my clients are unique and I will support you in making the right choices to move forward with your life in a healthy way.
I have a background in administration but have a passion for learning about people and believe that we are continually shaped by our experiences and interactions with others and our environment.
I have had the pleasure of working with a range of clients of varying ages in different settings including a suicide intervention and mental health service for people under thirty, as well as a centre dedicated to supporting people with cancer or caring for people with this diagnosis. I am working as a school counsellor working with students from age eleven upwards. These varying opportunities have allowed me to work with neurodiversity in school age students through to older adults.
