Corrections policy

We publish information to help people understand therapy and find the right therapist. We work hard to keep it accurate, and we correct mistakes openly when they happen. This page explains how to tell us about an error and what we do next.

How to report an error

If you think something we have published is wrong or out of date, email matching@aligned.co.uk with the page address and a short note on what looks incorrect. A link to a source helps us check it quickly.

How we assess and fix it

We check the claim against our sources and, for anything clinical, against reputable evidence and our knowledge base. If it is wrong, we fix it. Where a correction changes the meaning of something we said, we note what changed and when, rather than quietly editing it away.

Timeframe

We aim to acknowledge a report within two working days and to correct clear factual errors promptly. More involved questions, for example where we need to review the underlying evidence, can take longer, and we will keep you updated if so.

What counts as a correction

We treat factual mistakes, outdated figures, broken or wrong references, and anything misleading as corrections. Matters of style or opinion are not corrections, though we always welcome feedback that helps us write more clearly.
