About Me
As an experienced counsellor working with adults, I support my clients with a wide range of issues (including loss, identity, anxiety, depression, relationship and work stress, low self-esteem, bereavement, self-harm, fertility, addiction, trauma, abuse, anger, chronic pain and living with life-limiting illness).
I have a wealth of experience gained from working in general private practice, the NHS, palliative care and bereavement service settings.
I trained in integrative counselling at The Minster Centre in London. The integrative approach means taking into account the whole person, which includes thoughts, feelings and bodily-felt symptoms as well as ‘transpersonal’ or spiritual beliefs.
I work relationally and collaboratively with clients, focusing on building good, trusting therapeutic relationships. I believe that by working together, counselling can help us to explore and gain a clearer understanding of ourselves and make a difference to how we feel. Being in therapy myself was life-changing and has given me added insight into supporting my clients.
Sessions last for one hour, whether in person or online.
I am a registered member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I abide by the BACP ethical framework, I have regular clinical supervision and undertake continuing professional development and training.
